Oracle HCM / Oracle Payroll with Fast Formulas Senior

 

Role Title: Senior Consultant Oracle HCM / Oracle Payroll (Fast Formulas)

Experience Level: 58 years

 

Role Summary

The Senior Consultant will play a key role in the design, development, and support of Oracle HCM Cloud with a primary focus on Oracle Payroll and Fast Formulas. This position requires strong functional and technical expertise to implement payroll solutions, build advanced formulas, troubleshoot payroll results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Oracle HCM Cloud projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Payroll & Fast Formulas

  • Design, develop, and maintain Payroll Fast Formulas (Earnings, Deductions, Absence, Proration, Elements Eligibility Rules, and Validation).
  • Configure and support Oracle HCM Payroll modules including Elements, Balances, Payroll Flows, Costing, and QuickPay.
  • Analyse payroll results, logics, and costing outputs to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Create and optimize Fast Formulas to meet complex client payroll requirements.

 

Implementation & Solution Design

  • Participate in end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementations and enhancements.
  • Capture client requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle Payroll solutions.
  • Support data conversion activities including element entry uploads, costing data, and payroll mapping.

 

Integration & Reporting

  • Work with integration teams on HCM Extracts, HDL loads, OIC integrations related to Payroll.
  • Build and enhance OTBI and BI Publisher reports for payroll reporting needs.

 

Support & Testing

  • Provide L2/L3 support for payroll issues.
  • Lead UAT, regression, and parallel payroll testing cycles.
  • Document configurations, solution design, and operational procedures.

 

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor junior consultants on Payroll and Fast Formulas.
  • Coordinate with Functional Leads, Technical Teams, and Client HR/Payroll teams.
  • Contribute to best practices, reusable components, and project documentation.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll configuration.
  • Strong expertise in Fast Formulas (Payroll, Absence, Benefits, HCM Extract, and Elements).
  • Knowledge of HDL, HCM Extracts, Payroll Flows, and Calculation Cards.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislative rules and statutory compliance.
  • Experience with BIP, OTBI, and SQL for troubleshooting.

 

Functional Skills

  • Solid understanding of Core HR, Absence Management, Time & Labor is a plus.
  • Ability to analyse payroll issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes: payroll run, costing, retro pay, tax calculations, etc.

 

Professional Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
  • Experience in Agile or Waterfall delivery frameworks.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Certification.
  • Prior consulting experience with global payroll implementations.
