Senior Analyst Corporate Finance

 

Within EY-Valuations team group is part of Corporate Finance practice. Our valuations practice provides real estate valuation, analytical services and other business advisory services to developers, builders, investors, lenders and Fortune 500 companies.

 

 

The opportunity

 

We are looking for highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analysts with expertise in Business Valuations to join EY-Corporate Finance practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis and valuations across a variety of asset classes and industries. You will work closely with the stakeholders to deliver accurate, insightful, and timely valuation reports that drive key business and investment decisions. Your key responsibilities

 

  • Perform company and asset valuations using methods such as DCF (Discounted Cash Flow), Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transactions.
  • Prepare valuation reports, presentations, and financial models for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial statements, market data, and industry trends.
  • Support audit and tax-related valuations and assist with fair value measurements under IFRS/GAAP.
  • Maintain and update valuation models and databases.
  • Exposure to engagements for intangible business valuations for management planning; mergers and acquisitions (M&A); financial reporting; tax and regulatory compliance; restructuring and reorganization; and corporate strategy.
  • Experience with secondary research, report writing and detailed financial modelling.
  • Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices globally
  • Supervise, develop and mentor professionals at the Staff and Senior level.
  • Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Excellent thoughtfulness, project management, communication, interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking and Corporate Finance
  • Experience in financial modelling, including experience building models from scratch in MS Excel and related software preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel, when necessary
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial databases.

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • A post graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA) or Business with 2-4 years of related work experience
  • 1-2 years direct experience in utilizing Valuation techniques and methodologies such as Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, market comparable, etc. in a business valuation firm or practice or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, national valuation firm or experience working in a corporate finance role for an organization, preferably for M&A activities Experience in financial modelling including experience building models from scratch in MS Excel and related software preferred
  • Preferable achievement in or significant progress towards a CFA, ASA, CPA or related certification
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
