About the Role:

Dow Jones Energy is seeking a visionary Vice President to head our energy, chemicals, metals, and fuel supply business across the Middle East & Africa. As a key functional leader within the global energy organization, you are responsible for the long-term commercial trajectory of one of the world's most strategically important markets. Reporting to the Global Head of Energy, you will manage a multi-layered regional organization through a team of directors and senior managers. This role is designed for a master of global commodity markets with the executive presence to shape global business results and operate at the highest levels of government, national oil companies, and multinational energy organizations.

Dow Jones Energy delivers trusted price transparency, benchmarks, analytics, news, and insight across the global energy, chemicals, metals, and fuel supply value chain. Our offerings support customers across spot, wholesale, and retail markets, as well as emerging segments tied to the energy transition.

Through authoritative data, real-time intelligence, and deep market expertise, Dow Jones Energy enables customers to make confident, high-stakes commercial decisions in volatile and fast-evolving markets.

You Will:

  • Architect and lead the long-term sustainable commercial growth strategy for Dow Jones Energy across the MEA region, driving revenue growth, market expansion and engagement, aligned with global priorities.

  • Partner closely with global leadership on forecasting, investment planning, and long-term growth initiatives.

  • Lead and scale a multi-layered regional organization, managing performance through directors and senior managers to foster a culture of sophisticated consultative selling.

  • Serve as the primary executive representative for Dow Jones Energy with C-suite executives, regulators, and ministries, positioning the firm as a mission-critical market intelligence partner for the region's most influential institutions.

  • Influence global product strategy, investment planning, and regional go-to-market decisions, ensuring MEA market needs are reflected in the global Dow Jones Energy roadmap.

  • Apply deep subject-matter expertise across oil, refined products, chemicals, metals, and energy transition markets to identify emerging opportunities.

  • Maintain ultimate accountability for the regional P&L and sales pipeline, providing the global executive committee with high-level forecasting and market risk assessments.

  • Orchestrate collaboration between News, Product, and Research teams across the global organization to deliver holistic, 360-degree solutions to complex energy conglomerates.

  • Spearhead leadership capability and succession planning across the region to build a robust pipeline of future executive talent.

You Have:

  • In-depth leadership experience in energy, commodities, metals, or energy data/analytics, with a track record of managing large, complex organizations.

  • Proven success in driving significant regional revenue growth and shaping market expansion across complex, multi-country environments.

  • Executive-level credibility and a track record of closing high-value, strategic enterprise agreements with governments and NOCs.

  • Deep subject-matter expertise across oil, refined products, chemicals, and energy transition markets.

  • Exceptional strategic judgment and the ability to influence global business outcomes within a complex matrix organization.

  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is strongly preferred.
