The Corporate Bank sits at the core of Deutsche Banks client franchise and is a market leader in Cash Management, Trade Finance and Lending, Securities Services, and Trust and Agency services.

This role operates within Corporate Bank Production as a Senior Technology Subject Matter Expert for the Client Access & Services subdivision. Client Access & Services, serves the critical client facing applications categorised under Payment Initiation, Account Services and Client Centric Technology.

Your key responsibilities

  • Be the technical subject matter expert for a suite of leading-edge applications in Corporate Banking technology
  • Partner with, and influence global stakeholders across development, infrastructure and production to optimise application performance, improve resiliency, reduce risk and manage change conflicts
  • Drive a culture of continuous, proactive improvement into the Production environment through automation, monitoring improvements and platform hygiene
  • Carry out hands-on technical analysis of the Production platform and business workflows to identify improvement areas
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align Production initiatives with business goals, using data driven insights to support decision making
  • Embed an SRE culture across the organisation, for example by defining and tracking SLOs

Your skills and experience

  • Extensive, hands-on experience with Production Application Support and ITIL Practices with a strong leadership and SRE mindset
  • Good understanding of modern technologies and complex infrastructure, such as cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure), programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python), databases (Postgres, BigQuery, MongoDB) and Messaging (MQ, Kafka)
  • Experience in application performance monitoring tools such as Geneos, Splunk, Grafana and New Relic
  • Understanding of Digital assets like cryptocurrency, tokens and vaults is an advantage
  • Understanding of Mobile based technologies is an advantage
  • Experience in data analysis and visualisation, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful commercial insights and clear decision-support outputs
