Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate with banking experience to join our team. This role supports the accurate reporting, analysis, and control of financial and performance metrics used by senior management and business stakeholders. The Associate will assist in the development and maintenance of reporting frameworks, perform data validation, and variance analysis, and contribute to the integrity of financial and management information. The ideal Associate will have a foundational understanding of banking products and operations, strong analytical skills, and an interest in financial controls, reporting, and data governance within a regulated financial environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the preparation, validation, and analysis of performance metrics, management reports, and dashboards used for financial and business decision-making

  • Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly reporting processes, including data reconciliation, variance analysis, and investigation of data anomalies

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to:

    • Define and refine Key Performance Indicators/Key Risk Indicators

    • Understand data sources and business logic

    • Ensure alignment with reporting standards and business objectives

    • Develop and enhance automated reporting solutions using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and other Power BI platforms

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Provide actionable insights to senior management through clear and concise reporting. Support ad-hoc analysis, issue remediation, and special projects as needed

  • Document assumptions, methodologies, and control procedures to support transparency and auditability

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field

  • Proficient experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to analytics or reporting

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, basic macros, formulas) and Tableau (dashboard creation, data visualization)

  • Familiarity with Structured Query Language or data querying tools is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable manner

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience with other Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Power BI, Qlik)

  • Awareness of regulatory reporting requirements in banking

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Demonstrated interest in developing a career withing Finance or Product Control
