Overview

The candidate will help drive the derivatives business for Deutsche Bank’s client base in New York, partnering closely with Sales, Trading, and Research. The role consists of helping generate bespoke trade ideas, tailored client content, as well as analysis to help facilitate derivative hedge transactions. The ideal candidate will have some markets knowledge, high technical competence, extremely strong work ethics, and strong interpersonal skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop bespoke derivative hedging solutions for our clients
  • Produce thematic content based on macroeconomic events (e.g. election opportunities)
  • Monitor existing books for restructuring opportunities
  • Maintain and enhance existing analytics suite for risk management
  • Produce pitch decks for ideas to Sales and clients

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required; familiarity with global financial markets and derivatives
  • Strong quantitative and technical ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that allow for comfort in client-facing situations
  • Problem solving skills and a highly motivated, self-starter attitude

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Knowledge of derivatives and markets (FX and/or Rates preferred)
  • Strong mathematical / technical background
  • Familiarity with coding (python in particular)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110K to $140K.
