Private Bank Europe Domestic Strategy team supports divisional Senior Management in designing, executing and communicating the strategy of Private Bank Europe Domestic (including Italy, Spain and Belgium). The Strategic Development Specialist will be involved in supporting executive decision making on strategic matters with detailed financial and analytics. The Strategic Development Specialist will take part to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and asset deal transactions and will support strategic and change management projects through taking ownership for specific parts of the programme management and managing multiple stakeholder interests. In this role, the intern will support Senior Management by preparing briefing materials and presentations and will facilitate governance activities by preparing relevant materials for key committees. The intern will be involved in periodical benchmarking and positioning analysis and will manage application to relevant industry awards. The intern will liaise regularly with the global team to ensure strategic consistency and effective data sharing.

Learning Objectives

  • Support the design and execution of strategic initiatives across Private Bank Europe Domestic (Italy, Spain and Belgium), providing data-driven insights (quantitative and qualitative) to enable Senior Management decision-making.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and M&A-related initiatives, supporting coordination across multiple workstreams and stakeholders at both local, regional (i.e. Europe Domestic) and global levels.
  • Support the delivery of transformation and change programmes, taking ownership of specific components and facilitating effective collaboration across functions and geographies.
  • Produce high-quality presentations and briefing materials for Senior Stakeholders (e.g. Management Committees, Boards, and Executive Forums), ensuring clear messaging, strong storytelling, and alignment with Private Bank Europe Domestic strategic priorities.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape across key European markets, delivering benchmarking and market intelligence to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Excellent academic record with international experience, a bachelors in finance/business administration or related, near completion of a masters in finance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including strong Excel and Power Point skills. Preferred some insights in AI applications.
  • Highly motivated and a proactive team worker with a strong attention to details paired with synthesis ability.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills and solid finance and accounting background would complete the profile.

Start Date: June 2026. Duration: 6 months internship.
