Role Description
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), infrastructure security, networking, and database technologies. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure platforms that support enterprise applications and services. The ideal candidate should also have hands-on exposure to relational and non-relational databases, along with scripting or development skills in Java and Python to enable automation, integration, and operational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure, including IAM, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance best practices.
- Configure and manage networking components such as VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and DNS.
- Administer and optimize relational databases and non-relational databases to support application and data platform requirements.
- Develop automation scripts, operational tools, and integration components using Java and Python.
- Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and support disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.
- Collaborate with development, database, and security teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Document architecture, operational procedures, and standards for infrastructure deployment and support.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, or related services.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, access control, network security, and cloud governance.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, firewalls, proxies, and connectivity models.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, or similar technologies.
- Programming or scripting proficiency in Java and Python.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple infrastructure priorities.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, or CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or Git-based workflows.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Relevant cloud or security certifications, especially Google Cloud certifications.
- Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability platforms for infrastructure operations.
- Experience supporting production environments with strong focus on availability, performance, and security.
