  • The CSO ISTO Cyber Hygiene Team is looking for a proactive Security Specialist responsible for driving strategic initiatives within the Cyber Hygiene Relationship Management Team.
  • In this context the Security Specialist will closely align with the Cyber Hygiene Pillar Leads and external stakeholder e.g. Engineering Teams, Application Owners or Embedded Risk Teams to conduct Root Cause Analysis and present findings to address these in the bank.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and conducting Root Cause Analysis across CH Controls.
  • Identification and evaluation of core requirements based on internal and external stakeholder requests.
  • Responsible for building close working relationships with our internal and external stakeholder to align identified root causes to ensure they are fit for purpose and addresses the underlying causes.
  • Supports the development of an environment where people development is the number one priority. Coach’s others in the organisation, as appropriate.
  • Actively supports the business strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture.
  • Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution

Your skills and experience

  • Must have experience in managing teams along with external vendor contracts
  • A deep understanding in vulnerability management or vulnerability remediation support
  • Nessus, Tanium, Splunk or Prisma knowledge desirable
  • Information Security controls and/or IT Risk framework knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge and experience Google Cloud will be an added advantage
  • Must be a good communicator, who has a capacity for learning a broad range of subjects and has the situational awareness to adjust communications styles.
  • Must be able to read documented knowledgebase articles and adapt them to the customers situation, calling on additional support where needed.
  • Must be organised and diligent.
  • Professional certification such as CEH, Security+, Professional Cloud Security Engineer etc preferred
  • Good analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Academic Degree or Diploma-level education (or equivalent) in science or engineering technology
  • Effective communication skills are a must, as are English language skills to business standard
