Role Description

  • We are seeking an accomplished Information Security Specialist (Assistant Vice President) to lead engineering, configuration, and assurance activities for Microsoft Purview, the enterprise data governance and protection platform.
  • In this high-impact role, you will design and implement advanced security controls, strengthen the bank’s data protection posture, and ensure compliance with global regulatory frameworks.

Why This Role Matters

  • This is a rare opportunity to lead security engineering with strategic impact — bridging technology, compliance, and business transformation.
  • You will define how the organization safeguards its most valuable asset — data — while enabling innovation, automation, and regulatory alignment.
  • As part of a high-performing global team, your work will directly influence how the bank builds trust, transparency, and resilience in a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.

  • Sponsorship for Industry relevant certifications and education
  • Employee Assistance Program for you and your family members
  • Comprehensive Hospitalization Insurance for you and your dependents
  • Accident and Term life Insurance
  • Complementary Health screening for 35 yrs. and above

Your key responsibilities

  • Engineer and configure Microsoft Purview to establish enterprise-grade data governance, classification, labeling, and sensitivity policies.
  • Design and implement scalable integration patterns to align Purview with existing cloud, data, and security platforms across the enterprise.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing frameworks (unit, integration, and regression) to ensure configuration reliability, compliance, and data protection accuracy.
  • Automate data governance workflows using PowerShell, Python, and Azure Logic Apps, driving operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize data classification, policy enforcement, and scanning coverage across structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Collaborate with data architects, compliance officers, and information security teams to align governance capabilities with regulatory and risk management objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving Purview scanning, misconfigurations, or policy enforcement gaps across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Support audit, risk, and compliance activities through accurate dashboarding, lineage reporting, and control validation using Purview insights.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation of configurations, workflows, and governance models to ensure audit readiness and operational transparency.
  • Champion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing by conducting internal training, sharing best practices, and mentoring technical teams.

Your skills and experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Purview deployment, configuration, and policy management within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise in data governance, information protection, and compliance automation using Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Azure Logic Apps) to enable scalable data protection workflows.
  • Deep understanding of data security, cloud governance, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOX, and Basel III.
  • Experience integrating Purview with Azure, Microsoft 365, and other data management platforms.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address governance, classification, and compliance-related challenges.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
