Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:

Sydney based interest rate cash bond trader with the primary responsibility for managing the AUD Inflation, as well as providing coverage for the Government, Semi-Government and Supranational business. In addition, to the key responsibilities this role has a lot of scope for involvement across the broader FIC business, including considerable interaction with stakeholders across sales, syndication and treasury

Your key responsibilities:

Managing the AUD inflation cash book:

  • Prudent risk management, monetisation and optimisation of the AUD cash bond franchise

  • Identifying areas for business growth, contributing to business strategy formulation and developing opportunities

  • A Strong client focus including internal engagement with the global sales force on strategy, and direct engagement with key clients

  • Collaborate closely with Research, Trading and Structuring to deliver strategic solutions to Deutsche Bank’s clients

  • Driving and maintaining strong connectivity with local and global peers to ensure the business maintains operationally and technologically best-in-class

  • Driving the continued development and evolution of a best-in-class electronic platform service to clients

  • Providing secondary risk management and pricing coverage across Australia cash business

Special Projects:

  • Create value add MIS related to customer flows to drive new business in bonds

  • Liaise with relevant internal departments domestically and offshore - trading, sales, operations

Your skills and experience:

  • 4-6 year experience in similar role within a Tier One finacial organization

  • A strong understanding of the Australian debt markets

  • Degree qualified with a finance, mathematical or equivalent major

  • Strong technical skills. Proficient in excel and VBA.

  • An eye for detail and an ability to multi-task efficiently
