Role Description

In this role, you will utilize your team leader/scrum master skill to run a hybrid team of FTE and CWR engineers to plan, design, develop, test and release an automation system for Cloud (VMware) automation within Deutsche Bank. On a day-to-day basis you will be engaging with dbCloudManager engineering teams, application owners/server owners, security teams and the engineering teams of the services we integrate into the automations to provide smooth functioning of the end-to-end automation process and ensure the automated provisioning and management targets are achieved consistently. This is a technical hands-on role requiring Java, web, database and automation development skills alongside strong agile process and team management skills.

Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for the automation of key cloud processes via dbCloudManager

This includes:

  • Design automated process, the UI, workflow, persistence and integration of external services.
  • Coordinate and assist in the development of these solutions with the wider team.
  • Coordinate integrations with external teams who services must be integrated and automated.
  • Coordinate local and integrated testing prior to release.
  • Manage SDLC governance and ensure all appropriate controls are closed successfully prior to release.
  • Coordinate external teams who interface to dbCloudManager to ensure a smooth and consistent service is maintained.
  • You will also be responsible as ITAO for the governance of the automation solutions
  • You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the development team and their career development.

Your skills and experience

  • Experience leading complex infrastructure application development process.
  • Experience in the development of infrastructure processes that align with governance controls.
  • People management experience, either directly or in a matrixed capacity.
  • Experience full-stack hands-on developer (wed, Java, db and API)
  • Experience with collaborating with infrastructure functions, including leading interlocks to gather requirements, workshops to define requirements in conjunction with key stakeholders and the ability to provide senior management and audit documentation in support of the project and ongoing operations
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of virtualization and network infrastructure
  • Good understanding of Cloud hosted compute environments.
  • Experience of Agile methodology and use of Jira (scrum master level).
