Role Description

  • The candidate in this role will design, develop application code, implement technical solutions and deploy applications in cloud environments in response to business problems.

  • To meet the requirements of the business, the candidate will actively participate in architecture design, application development lifecycle, investigate issues (bugs/performance), propose solutions, promote re-usability of existing components and contribute to the creation of frameworks.

  • The candidate will pair with other members of the team to build a scalable platform. Knowledge and prior experience of working on Payments domain will be an advantage.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design and develop server-side components and high-volume, low-latency applications using Java

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between front-end interfaces and backend databases

  • Manage and optimize data storage solutions using SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases

  • Write unit and integration tests using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito to ensure code reliability and performance

  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and profiling to resolve product defects and identify performance bottlenecks

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and work with cross-functional teams, including QA, Product Management

Your skills and experience

  • Proficiency in Java (Java 17+ or latest versions) and a strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Spring Boot, Spring Cloud

  • Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ for asynchronous communication.

  • Experience or familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP)

  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure coding practices

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Payments domain experience will be advantage
