Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IFRS16 Lease Accounting Associate to support the run and maintain activities for IFRS16 accounting. This role will be pivotal in managing and ensuring accurate accounting for lease contracts in compliance with IFRS16 standards. The role will work closely with the Finance Director, providing subject matter expertise (SME) support to ensure proper financial treatment of leases and help manage various financial and regulatory processes.

Your key responsibilities

• Lease Contract Management: Manage and oversee the correct accounting of lease contracts, ensuring compliance with IFRS16 regulations.
• REFX Exception Handling: Handle REFX exceptions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations of the system.
• SME Support: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for lease accounting, providing guidance and support to the Finance Director and broader finance team on the financial treatment of leases.
• Disclosures Submission: Manage the timely and accurate submission of disclosures in line with regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
• Quarterly SOX Operations: Perform quarterly SOX operations, ensuring all financial activities are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum [3] years of experience in lease accounting or a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS16 standards and experience managing lease contracts.
• Experience with REFX system is highly desirable.
• Proven expertise in SOX compliance and financial disclosures.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management.
