Work youll do
As a Manager in Digital Assets Strategy & Operating Model Design, youll take ownership of client relationships and lead small teams or workstreams within larger programs. Youll oversee the delivery of strategic digital asset initiatives, ensuring solutions meet client needs and exceed expectations. Your role will blend hands-on leadership, project management, and subject matter expertise as you coach junior resources, facilitate workshops, and drive consensus among stakeholders. Youll have the opportunity to shape operating models, validate business cases, and make a tangible impact on the future of finance and technology.
As a Manager, you will have opportunities to:
- Lead client engagements and manage teams or workstreams focused on developing and refining enterprise-wide digital asset strategies, including value propositions, use cases, roadmap prioritization, and investment requirements.
- Oversee the design and implementation of target-state operating models for digital asset initiatives, encompassing organization structure, governance, processes, roles, skills, and performance measures.
- Guide the development and validation of business cases for digital asset projects, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and scenario analysis.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with client objectives.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Facilitate workshops and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for business and operational models considerations as well as risk assessments across compliance, regulatory, BSA/AML, cyber, operational, blockchain, and financial domains.
- Identify strategic risks and opportunities in the digital asset ecosystem using industry insights and collaboration with colleagues.
- Educate clients and internal teams on digital assets, operating model leading practices, and emerging technologies.
- Prepare technical documentation and diagrams for digital asset solutions
- Provide risk and regulatory advisory support in defining and reviewing business models.
- Deploy business and finance process changes and risk-mitigating controls to enable digital-asset-specific capabilities.
- Utilize technology-based tools and methodologies to analyze public blockchain data.

Qualifications
Candidates will have exceptional records of professional achievement, experience working in a relevant financial services industry sector, and a demonstrated capacity and enthusiasm for self-paced development. Candidates will be expected to motivate others, build constructive relationships with clients and colleagues, and work both independently and as part of a team. Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for complex problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively across a variety of strategic, operational, technological, and risk management matters.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services, consulting, or digital asset strategy, with direct involvement in developing and refining enterprise-wide digital asset strategies, including value propositions, use cases, roadmap prioritization, and investment requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to design target-state operating models for digital asset initiatives, encompassing organization structure, governance, processes, roles, skills, and performance measures
- Proven experience building and validating business cases for digital asset projects, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and scenario analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and opportunities in emerging digital asset ecosystems.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and educate stakeholders on digital assets and operating model leading practices.
- Ability to travel up to 75% based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates possessing one or more of the following qualifications is preferred:
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in the execution of digital asset strategy projects, driving consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Track record of designing and implementing innovative operating models for digital asset businesses, including piloting new governance structures and performance frameworks.
- Hands-on involvement in launching digital asset initiatives at scale, with demonstrated impact on organizational transformation or market positioning.
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis and scenario modeling for digital asset investments, including the use of specialized financial tools or platforms.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in the digital asset space (e.g., blockchain interoperability, smart contract automation, privacy-enhancing protocols).
- Published thought leadership or active participation in industry forums related to digital asset strategy, operating model design, or risk management.
- Experience mentoring or training others in digital asset strategy, operating model design, or business case development.
Candidates joining our firm should possess an entrepreneurial drive, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in addition to the qualifications below:
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to support or lead business proposal development and sales presentations
- Strong relationship management skills, particularly the ability to build constructive and product working relationships with clients and among Deloitte practitioners
- Strong project / program management skills, particularly possessing a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence in work product delivery, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities

This compensation range is specific to Washington State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $151,800 to $265,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
