Data Platform Tribe is engaged in an inspiring digital transformation journey with focus on creating both proactive and data protection capabilities within Data & Analytics. 

Development activities are within public cloud adoption, implementation, hardening and scaling of Databricks, Collibra and other platforms within Data & Analytics.

 

As our new Data Engineer, you will be leveraging modern Data Warehouse, Big Data, Streaming and Cloud technologies across various banking domains.

 

You will have the opportunity to architect and implement data solutions that drive business value while working alongside experienced professionals who are focused on data engineering. Our team values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and embracing new technologies to solve complex data challenges.

 

Our focus is on building, maintaining, and monitoring data pipelines for both batch processing and real-time streaming, using technologies such as Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, Kafka, Hadoop ecosystem, AWS.

 

Note; This role does not include a relocation. 

 

Your daily:
 

Design and Develop: Architect and implement robust data integration solutions and pipelines that connect multiple data sources and systems, ensuring efficient data flow throughout the organization.
 

  • Data Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and monitor complex data pipelines for both batch processing and real-time streaming.

  • Data Quality: Implement data validation checks, data governance and security standards, monitoring systems, and automated testing frameworks to ensure data quality across all integration points.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

  • Optimization: Continuously improve data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability by implementing best practices.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in the data engineering space, evaluating and adopting new tools and approaches to enhance team capabilities.

 

About you:

You are highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing enterprise grade data integration solutions.

 

Technical Foundation

  • Strong proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL for complex data manipulation and developing scalable data processing applications.

  • Experience with deploying and managing data workloads and data lakes in cloud environments and modern technologies such as Databricks, AWS, or Azure.

  • Practical experience and understanding of version control best practices with CI/CD platforms such GitHub or Azure DevOps.

  • Experience and understanding of streaming architecture with real-time data and streaming services like Apache Kafka.

  • Solid interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Practical experience working with Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, MapReduce) is a plus.
