Join Danske Banks Wholesale Credit Management team as a senior analyst, where you will play a key role in a dynamic, innovative and team orientated culture with broad exposure to large and complex corporate groups and financial sponsors across multiple industries.
Wholesale Credit Risk Management is a 2nd line function at the heart of Danske Banks strategy. We partner with the 1st line to design and maintain robust credit risk frameworks, provide oversight and support the structuring and decision-making on large, complex transactions. Our team supports large corporates across the Groups markets, applying consistent credit standards and delivering tailored solutions across a wide variety of financing needs, including structured and event-driven transactions and financing that supports the green transition of societies.
We are looking for an experienced professional to manage this capability by overseeing risk management and structuring for complex credit transactions.
What you will be doing
- Strategic collaboration: Work closely with the 1st line team to structure and navigate large, complex transactions that balance risk and reward and meet the financing needs of large corporate customers
- Frameworks and continuous improvement: Design and enhance credit risk frameworks, processes and systems for large corporate financing, using strong conceptual thinking, sound judgement and practical execution and ensure they remain effective as markets, regulation and customer needs evolve
- Decision-making effectiveness: Apply your expertise to make well-informed recommendations and decisions on high-stakes transactions, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies while enabling commercially sound and bespoke financing structures
- Market insight and adaptation: Stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs, using insights to develop bespoke financing solutions and risk approaches that differentiate the bank
- Portfolio oversight: Partner with Large Corporate stakeholders to monitor portfolio performance, concentrations and emerging risks, supporting proactive risk mitigation and sustainable growth
- Green transition and structured finance: Play an active role in assessing and structuring financing that supports the green transition of societies, as well as other complex and structured financing needs, including transactions with private equity funds and similar sponsors.
About you
- Structured thinking: Strong analytical skills paired with strategic foresight, enabling you to drive impactful credit decisions
- Solutions-oriented mindset: Ability to design and implement pragmatic credit risk frameworks and financing structures that address complex corporate needs, including multi-bank, syndicated and structured solutions
- Experience with financing and advising large corporates: Solid understanding and ability to translate commercial needs into sustainable financing solutions
- Dynamic communicator: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote collaboration and guide stakeholders across the organization, including senior management, product specialists and external counterparties.
- Expertise in credit management: Demonstrated experience in complex credit structures and a deep understanding of large corporate transactions, including M&A and capital markets financing
Your current role or background could be within similar functions at another financial institution or a related organisation. Relevant experience of 5-10 years is necessary for the senior analyst position, and you should be comfortable taking ownership of cases, challenging constructively and engaging directly with senior stakeholders.
