Full Job Description
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
To reinforce our position as the Nordic Markets Powerhouse, Danske Bank is making a major investment in our Markets Technology platform. As part of this journey, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to help shape and drive the next phase of our Markets Simplification strategy. With a complex production landscape, the role of a Business Analyst is essential to our success.
The Markets Post Trade Technology Tribe focuses on delivering technology solutions that support and enhance post-trade operations within financial markets. By leveraging modern technologies and collaborating closely with stakeholders, the tribe aims to optimise post-trade processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with market standards and regulations.
Our team is at the forefront of transforming Danske Banks post-trade landscape, with a focus on Clearing & Collateral. We build and run solutions that support the end-to-end clearing and collateral lifecycle from trade eligibility and clearing submissions to margining, collateral allocation, optimisation, and settlement helping ensure a robust control environment and strong regulatory compliance. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in partnering with operations and service teams, risk and front-office stakeholders to improve processes and translate business needs into clear requirements, and drive deliveries that reduce risk and increase automation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability across our post-trade value chain.
You will be part of a highly capable and engaged team dedicated to building modern solutions for the capital markets business. We value curiosity and continuous development, so you will have strong opportunities to deepen your understanding across both technology and the business domain. We set a high bar for quality, ownership, and how we collaborate, while also maintaining a friendly, informal atmosphere with plenty of room to grow professionally.
Furthermore, you will:
- Take ownership to understand complex Clearing & Collateral problems, articulate them clearly, and collaborate with stakeholders and developers to identify effective solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders across Markets, Services, Risk, Regulatory, and Finance to define requirements for clearing, margining, and collateral workflows.
- Capture and organise requirements into user stories (including business rules, data needs, and control requirements) and communicate them clearly to the development team.
- Facilitate communication between Product Owners, IT developers, and key post-trade stakeholders (e.g., clearing operations, collateral management, risk, and counterparties/CCPs as relevant) to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Identify and leverage internal data sources (e.g., exposures, margin, eligible collateral, settlements) and write clear documentation that maps data flows, lineage, and definitions.
- Support production by investigating clearing and collateral issues (e.g., breaks, failed submissions, margin disputes, reconciliation mismatches) and coordinating resolution across relevant teams.
- Drive deliveries in the Clearing & Collateral area, from analysis and solution design to testing and go-live (e.g., eligibility and routing rules, margining enhancements, collateral optimisation, reporting and controls).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of post-trade processes and controls, sharing insights and best practices to increase automation, transparency, and resilience.
