Location: Copenhagen V, Denmark

We are looking for a new team member to join our great Settlement team in Danske Bank. As a Settlement Professional, you have a great responsibility for the day-to-day tasks which includes settlement of securities in the market, processing trades for clients and stakeholders and funding of accounts at our custodian banks. You will gain in-depth knowledge of how settlement works and gain insight into the entire settlement market and the Danske Bank Group's trading units. 

The Settlement team is located in Denmark and Lithuania and the open position is in our main office in Copenhagen. You will join a team of highly skilled people and monitor large volumes to the strictest of deadlines hence attention to detail, completeness, accuracy and timeliness skills are essential. 

The role gives the opportunity to develop professionally on a continuous basis. Furthermore, you should enjoy working in a team, but also be able to take the initiative to work individually.

Your Profile: 

In your daily tasks, you will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels, so you should be able to create an overview of outstanding issues and be able to present solutions while maintaining a constructive and positive attitude.  

While having support from your team and leader, we still expect you to be proactive and resourceful, being able to own and drive our daily business. 

Other experience and skills you should possess include: 

  • +2 years of relevant experience in in banking and finance operations environment. 
  • Experience with settlement of securities is a requirement 
  • Strong sense of urgency and willing to work in a high-risk area 
  • Skills to communicate fluently with clients, counterparts and stakeholders in English. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude, a strong drive to work efficiently, and a willingness to explore new solutions and improved ways of working. 
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills. 
  • A results-driven, motivated individual with a strong team-oriented mindset 

Your role includes a variety of daily contacts with customers, their trusted managers and other parties, which is why good knowledge in English is necessary (verbal and written). Since quality control and investigation work are all important elements in your work, you are thorough and structured. The work requires the ability to focus on details as well as answer calls from customers or colleagues, which means that you need to be able to handle parallel tasks continuously.
