We are looking for a Head of Personal Customers AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) to lead and scale our AI capabilities across Personal Customers. This role is central to ensuring that AI delivers real business value-promoting adoption, enabling prioritisation, and securing scalable, responsible implementation across the organisation. 

You will lead two specialised teams: AI Personalization and Conversational AI while acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology.

The Personal Customers AI CoE is a growing, diverse team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI specialists. We work at the intersection of advanced analytics, customer experience, and digital transformation, applying AI across use cases such as personalization, marketing optimisation, conversational assistants, and decision support.

Your role 

As Head of the AI CoE, your primary responsibility is leadership and orchestration, ensuring that AI initiatives are aligned with business priorities and successfully delivered through strong teams and stakeholder engagement. 

Key responsibilities 

Leadership & team development 

  • Lead and inspire two teams (AI Personalization and Conversational AI) with a strong focus on engagement, empowerment, and followership 
  • Build a high-performing culture centred on ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning 
  • Coach and develop leaders and specialists within the teams, enabling them to grow and succeed 

Stakeholder management & influence 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business needs into AI opportunities 
  • Drive alignment across product, business, and technology stakeholders to ensure clear priorities and value creation 
  • Build strong partnerships across Personal Customers to drive adoption and trust in AI solutions 

Strategy & execution 

  • Define and drive the AI roadmap across Personal Customers, balancing short-term impact with long-term capability building 
  • Ensure use cases are prioritised, matured, and scaled effectively, avoiding fragmentation and duplication 
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and tangible results 

Centre of Excellence (CoE) mandate 

  • Establish and maintain best practices for AI development, deployment, and governance 
  • Ensure AI solutions are scalable, reusable, and aligned with architectural and regulatory standards 
  • Proactively identify and shape new AI opportunities across the organisation 
  • Act as a hub for knowledge, standards, and capability building within AI

  • Proven experience in leading teams and leaders, with a strong focus on engagement and followership 
  • Strong track record of stakeholder management at senior levels, with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment 
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments, bridging business and technology 
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear direction and actionable insights 

Strategic & execution capabilities 

  • Experience driving strategic initiatives from idea to implementation 
  • Strong ability to prioritise, structure, and deliver impact in a complex organisation 
  • Commercial mindset with focus on value creation and measurable outcomes 

AI & data understanding 

  • Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, and data-driven solutions 
  • Familiarity with domains such as personalization, marketing optimisation, or conversational AI is an advantage 
  • Technical expertise is not the primary focus, but the ability to engage with specialists and guide decisions is essential
