Full Job Description

Location: Copenhagen V, Denmark

Do you want to operate at the centre of enterprise decision-making and be part of shaping the future direction of one of the leading banks in the Nordics at a time of profound transformation?

We are looking for an experienced strategic leader to take on a highly visible enterprise role with responsibility for how the bank sets direction, creates alignment, and turns strategic goals into decisions and momentum

This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide priorities and drive Group-wide strategic transformation in collaboration with a broad senior stakeholder landscape. You will lead a small, dedicated team with Group-wide impact, relying on judgement, collaboration, and the ability to mobilise across the organisation.

Your role

As Head of Group Strategy & Execution, you will report to the Head of Group Strategic Steering and work closely with the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors and senior business unit leaders on the banks most important and forward-looking topics.
You will help translate broad goals and varied needs into clear decision-making frameworks, using governance, reporting, and strategic follow-through to elevate the right conversations and maintain momentum.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Shape the banks long-term strategic agenda and its ability to continuously deliver in a changing environment
  • Own and evolve the strategy cycle across key leadership forums, ensuring a clear, forward-looking discipline that supports prioritisation, decision-making and execution
  • Drive corporate strategy development and strategic portfolio choices to help shape where to play and how to create value, ensuring investments, capital allocation and cross-group priorities support long-term value creation and organizational progress
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team while improving governance, cadence and follow-up across key forums
  • Support and develop a focused team with complementary strengths and high impact, promoting an inclusive environment to drive alignment and delivery

Success in this role depends on the ability to operate with sound judgement and the capability to build trust with a wide range of senior stakeholders while bringing clarity and direction to complex enterprise topics.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a leader with senior credibility, strategic depth, and cognitive flexibility - someone who are purpose- and relationship driven and can create clarity in complexity.

We imagine that you bring:

  • Experience from roles involving strategic, analytical, or transformation work within complex organisations (e.g. strategy, consulting, enterprise steering, business analytics, or research)
  • Strong business understanding and knowledge of operating models, governance, and value creation
  • Experience in leading enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple stakeholders and priorities, with the ability to collaborate beyond formal boundaries
  • People leadership, with the ability to build a team and balance pace, quality, and development in dynamic settings
  • Strong strategic communication skills and sound judgement in how messages, materials, and forums are used to create clarity, alignment, and results at senior leadership level
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, simplify complexity and enable effective decisions.
  • A digitally and AI-aware approach, leveraging tools to enhance insight, communication, and strategic impact both within the team and as a role model for the Bank

What we offer

You will join an environment built around the banks cultural commitments: Team Up, Own It, and Be Open.
We support continuous development and offer an environment where high standards, collaboration, and growth go hand in hand.
You will be based at our headquarters in Copenhagen, with modern workspaces designed to support collaboration, wellbeing, and flexibility.
We also offer a hybrid work setup with three days per week in the office, supporting both flexibility and in-person collaboration.

Interested?

If you are motivated by strategic leadership, enterprise collaboration, and the opportunity to drive meaningful impact, we would welcome your application.
If you have questions about the role, feel free to contact Alexandra Schn at alh@danskebank.dk.
