Job Overview

The Trade Ops staff is an entry level role responsible for processing basic to relatively complex transfers in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to perform moderately complex cash & trade operation tasks, by providing processing assistance for assigned projects.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all Trade products including but not limited to Import/Export Letters of Credit, Import/Export Bills, Import/Export financing, Documentary collection services, Supplier Financing and Guarantee.
  • Pre-processing: check docs, prepare instruction, scan instruction and required documents to Regional Processing Center (RPC) for processing.
  • Receive/deliver documents (Guarantee, import bill, export bill, L/Cs, loan application) from /to customers via counter or other channels.
  • Providing technical supports to all clients (advise LC terms and conditions, help out LC application and other application fill-in, export documents preparation, etc..)
  • Prepare report to FINCON, State bank
  • Communicate with RPC via email/phone for daily transactions and enquires
  • Other tasks assigned by Unit Head

QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Good knowledge of Trade products and rules (UCP600, ISBP, ISP)
  • Must be computer literate (knowledge of Windows-based programs such Ms Word and Ms Excel required)
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must be faithful, flexible, meticulous and attentive to details; strong organization, matured and administration/leadership skills
  • Must be self-motivated and pro-active; hard-working and responsible
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • College Degree (in Banking, Finance, Economics or Accounting)
  • Experience in operations of trade services and trade finance in a bank or at a major MNC non-bank is preferred.
