Your role as a Tax & Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will be to prepare and review tax, financial and other regulatory reporting for our superannuation fund and managed investment trust clients. Core to this role is ensuring high quality, accurate and timely reporting with an exceptional level of attention to detail. This will involve an ability to analyze and resolve operational issues.

Your challenge will be to support continuous process improvement and collaborate with internal stakeholders on technology developments to meet business and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of business activity financial statements, distribution calculations and tax returns

  • Preparation of financial statements, APRA and ABS regulatory reporting

  • Reconciliation of accounting to taxable income

  • Perform other daily and monthly activities as required adhering strictly to established procedures, controls and checklist

  • Review & resolve aging break items and breaks over a certain dollar threshold

  • Review procedures & controls

  • Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods

  • Support process improvement activities

  • Assist the team manager in audit queries, client queries, and risk related items

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting/finance/business studies/technology or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences (must have financial reporting knowledge)

  • Experience in accounting, finance, or business-related area

  • Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
