Job Overview

This role is in the FP&A Client team. This Client Finance Reporting & Analytics team is responsible for driving the reporting of client efficiency across Citigroup.  The team concentrates on developing effective measures of client return on capital, which is a key area of focus for Citi Executive Management Team. Covering all of Citi, this is a global function that advises Citis leadership on the effective distribution and utilization of capital by client.

We are hiring a Senior Vice President in our office in Mumbai to operate as a senior leader of our team. In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced team-oriented meritocracy where everyone has a voice and your ideas could have a powerful, immediate impact. This position offers a significant amount of responsibility, with an opportunity to develop custom strategies on behalf of the team.

Team members are involved in business advisory and in translating data into meaningful analysis that is critical in driving actions in various areas of the firm.  Team members continuously learn new products, systems and business practices as they analyze business strategy and respond to changing client needs, developing product knowledge across Citi (including Banking, Services and Markets) and working in a rewarding, creative and dynamic environment.

The Finance Client Reporting senior team member is an SVP level position under the Citigroup wide Client Analytics & Lead Finance Officer team. This team's priorities are, enhancing the client management dimension across Citi, delivering timely and accurate client financials, and providing insight into client segment performance. This role is responsible for defining, building, and distributing client financials to the firms stakeholders and will work closely with the business teams and finance partners to create client financials across the firm.

Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

This role is reporting into a Director in Mumbai.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a senior member of a team in creating content for the business leadership teams
  • Deliver both ongoing and ad hoc analysis including client metrics for quarterly and monthly business reviews to driven client decisions
  • Provide analytics on scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Digitize data in visualization tools to allow self-service of standard financial content
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on topics for definitions of standard client financials
  • Partner with the product teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or controls
  • Support creation of new Client Data Governance forum and ensure current and future data policies and governance principles are followed
  • Gather operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
  • Identify data patterns & trends, and provide insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
  • Recommend actions for future development & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
  • May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis
  • Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
  • Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
  • Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in financial services
  • Ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems
  • Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data
  • Demonstrated finance knowledge with the ability to drive top down strategic and operational plans
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and interact at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred
