Job Overview

The Securities & Derivatives Senior Analyst is a dynamic, intermediate-level position at the intersection of daily operations and long-term strategic improvement. The successful candidate will not only be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of securities and derivatives transactions but will also play a critical role in shaping the future of our operations. This role is designed for a forward-thinking professional who can manage business-as-usual tasks while simultaneously identifying and rectifying operational deficiencies through innovation, project leadership, and automation. The overall objective is to ensure seamless transaction lifecycle management while driving significant enhancements in efficiency, control, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of basic securities and derivatives processing procedures and industry standards
  • Offer advanced solutions for assigned securities and derivatives processing areas
  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior staff
  • Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
  • Assist with the development of new techniques and streamlining securities and derivatives processing activities
  • Review and resolve front to back operational flow, trade capture, and regulatory reporting exceptions
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelors Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
