Job Overview
The Manila Security Coding team is responsible for ensuring that product and pricing data is available, accurate, and complete for global financial markets. They work with various business units to setup listed, OTC, and private placement instruments in our master databases to facilitate trading activities. In addition, the team monitors reconciliation and data quality reports, as well as global corporate action announcements and actions listings, delisting, name changes and identifier changes
Our team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of security records on Custody system (SECORE) through the Global Securities Master (GSM) system for Asia Pacific region and maintenance of regional pricing.
On pricing aspect, we perform variance checking and month end pricing on custody system to support generation of monthly statement and billing invoice
Job Purpose:
Data Quality role - Primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of data held within our master database applications for financial instruments are kept up to date. Will work closely with various system support groups and global Security Coding teams to ensure that a consistent model is followed with respect to this critical reference data
BAU role - Primary responsibility is to monitor and process requests in XMC Engage for internal clients for security updates and set-ups. Perform tasks to ensure the quality of data held within our master
database applications for financial instruments are kept up to date. Will work closely with internal clients, various system support groups and global Security Coding teams to ensure that a consistent model is followed with respect to this critical reference data
Key Responsibilities:
The role will be within the Manila Security Coding team located in the ISG COE based in Manila, working within the team responsible for ensuring the quality of data held within our master database applications for financial instruments are kept up to date.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Willing to work in EMEA shift (from 2:30pm to 12:30am), with option for rotation to NAM Shift.
- New security set ups and modifications
- Reconciliation and data quality report or request monitoring
- Support Pre-market events and Post Market Close events
- Be able to work hands on with tight deadlines
- Gain thorough industry knowledge quickly and effectively interact with other operating units
- Provide effective maker/checker function to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Ensure adherence to all audit policies and procedures
- Provide SIT, UAT testing with strategic technology rollouts
- Support pre-market, market close, regulatory reporting and other events pertained to market operations
- Coordinate with global coders in other regions to resolve issues
- Understand global procedures to support other markets if needed
- Assist the Team Lead in handling escalations and production issues
Qualifications:
- Managing various data remediation work streams Projects Knowledge
- Experience of maintaining client static data within a capital markets environment
- Takes ownership of allocated work and is accountable
- Able to identify, trouble shoot issues and ultimately escalate
- Financial services related qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in banking and finance
- Knowledge in different financial securities preferred but not required
- Experience in different Microsoft applications
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
