Job Overview

The Operations and Finance Associate is a key member of the Community Investing and Development (CID) Operations and Finance team, reporting to the Finance and Operations Lead SVP. The CID team works to enhance Citis positive social impact through equity investing, innovative financial solutions, and strategic philanthropy.

The Operations and Finance Associate is responsible for increasing the Operations and Finance teams productivity and efficiency through finance and vendor administration and operations support.

This role requires a flexible schedule to support collaboration with colleagues in both the US and India. Candidates should be willing to adjust their working hours to ensure regular overlap with teams in both locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance/Vendor Administration (India):

  • Assist with entering and processing charitable contribution payments
  • Process accruals and periodic and year-end reporting
  • Support periodic account reviews and attestations
  • Onboard new suppliers in procurement system
  • Process vendor invoices and submit purchase orders for payment

Finance/Vendor Administration (Other):

  • Process vendor invoices and submit purchase orders for payment for other CID related transactions
  • Assist with Third Party Management vendor management processes
  • Assist with monthly quality control monitoring and checks to ensure policies and procedures are adhere to
  • Assist with additional finance/vendor support as needed

Operations Support and Administration:

  • Maintain an understanding of Citi risk and controls policies and procedures
  • Assist with additional Risk and Controls requirements as needed such as MCA testing, COB, Records management, etc.
  • Lead administrative process improvements; systemize and document processes and procedures
  • Support departmental needs and manage special projects as needed
  • May work on ad hoc projects as requested

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel expertise including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
  • Experience with databases and information management
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Foundation accounting strongly preferred

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
