Job Overview

The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as a Technical Data Analyst on a multi-year build out of a data analytics platform to support the Prime Finance business owning the capture and documentation of clear data requirements using user stories and Confluence
  • Work with the business users on requirement gathering, identifying systematic sources of data, understand the interlinkages between the data sets and have a high-level understanding of any logic or calculations being performed on the data sets as well as the use case
  • Document clear test acceptance criteria on requirements for a given engagement and work with QA to develop test strategies for both the data and visualisation layers
  • Working closely with development teams to break down requirements and ensuring impacts are understood
  • Communicate key project risks, define mitigation strategies and manage resolution
  • Proactively follows escalation and change control processes
  • Manage relationship with Business and take ownership for providing regular project updates to key business and technology stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business and data analysis
  • Strong Global Capital Markets knowledge ideally gained within Prime Finance
  • A proven track record of business analysis experience and strong familiarity with data analysis techniques
  • Strong investigation and data analysis skills with intermediate SQL, basic Python skills
  • Proven track record in building out data visualisation reporting platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones
  • Demonstrated experience to fully utilise JIRA/Confluence capabilities
  • Strong verbal / written communications skills
  • Tenacious and prepared to see things through to completion
  • Self-starter who works with minimal supervision
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills; ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
