Role Overview: Graduate Operations Analyst

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Operations team. As a Graduate Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting various operational functions within our dynamic financial environment. You will gain deep exposure to diverse financial products, end-to-end operational processes, and our client-centric model, helping you develop a foundational understanding of the financial services industry.

You will be part of a team that thrives on collaboration and continuous improvement, working closely with colleagues across different functions on a global scale. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to process enhancements, ensure data integrity, and support effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you're expected to:

  • Perform essential operational tasks, focusing on high quality and accuracy of data input, verification, and processing.
  • Contribute to the investigation and resolution of operational breaks, discrepancies, and queries in a timely manner.
  • Support the timely completion of reconciliations and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (e.g., Onboarding, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Products, Sales, Trading, Technology) and external counterparties.
  • Assist in identifying process and system enhancements, contributing to the successful migration of processes or technical advancements.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to front office and trading desks, specifically around financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records and support trade lifecycle activities, from execution to settlements.
  • Adhere to established risk and control frameworks, demonstrating sound ethical judgment and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Proactively identify and escalate control issues with transparency.

Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile

As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Mindset: Proactive, self-motivated, results-oriented, dynamic, agile, and eager to learn and succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Problem-Solving: A self-reliant problem solver who can greet pressure and challenge positively and make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship management potential.
  • Analytical & Numerical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical aptitude with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly, manage different deadlines and priorities, and work under pressure.
  • Teamwork: Able to work effectively in a team environment, build and maintain working relationships across various groups.
  • Technical Proficiency: Good proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Interest in quickly grasping new in-house systems.
  • Interest in Financial Markets: A keen interest in capital markets, financial instruments, and operational processes within a global financial institution.
