Job Overview

Financing is comprised of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) businesses which originate, structure and execute public and private capital raises on behalf of Citis banking clients across all geographies and industry groups. The global syndication teams deliver unparalleled distribution capabilities through seamless partnership with Citis world class Markets and Private Banking businesses.

The ECM and DCM business execution team reports to the Financing Business Execution Lead and acts as a partner to senior leadership within ECM & DCM. The business execution team coordinates and partners with a number of different functions across Citi including Risk, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Audit, and HR.

Key responsibilities of the Business Execution role include:

  • Create presentations for senior management for business reviews and other ad-hoc events

  • Complete competitor benchmarking analysis through volume and fee-based market share

  • Assist with internal audit and external regulatory reviews

  • Support and maintain various compliance and control initiatives across Financing

  • Manage deal and revenue pipelines

  • Produce revenue estimates in conjunction with relevant business heads

  • Assist in the annual plan and budgeting process as well as intra-year forecasting

  • Various ad-hoc analysis and projects for the ECM and DCM businesses

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 6 - 10 years of experience in a related field

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Management, Accounting or other business-related fields

  • Interest in Capital Markets

Skills/Competencies:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills

  • Good judgement, maturity and poise to enable interaction at all levels from peers to senior management

  • Ability to foster and build relationships across multiple groups and departments

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions

  • High discretion and professionalism with sensitive information

  • Ability to quickly flex and re-adjust under high pressure and challenging situations

  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Energetic, self-motivated and effective under pressure must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding work environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
