Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary and highly accomplished Senior Vice President (SVP), to join our team as an Engineering Lead for Application/ Product Development. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering leader with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing and resilient products, driving innovation in product development, and designing robust, scalable software architectures.

You will be at the forefront of technological innovation, leading and designing next-generation frameworks and microservices-based systems. A critical aspect of this role is to champion and integrate cutting-edge AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin) into our engineering workflows to accelerate development cycles, enhance code quality, and foster a culture of innovation.


Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Lead architectural design and decision-making, promoting best practices for building scalable, resilient, and secure microservices.

    • Drive the design and implementation of foundational frameworks that enable rapid and consistent product development across multiple teams.

    • Act as the senior technical authority, providing guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on complex technical challenges.

    • Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and operations.

    • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and other business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet customer needs and market demands.

    • Champion agile methodologies and a culture of continuous improvement to deliver high-quality products efficiently and predictably.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:

    • Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering organization, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and ownership.

    • Manage and develop engineering talents, Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and create opportunities for career growth within the engineering team

  • Innovation & AI Integration:

    • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, particularly in software architecture, microservices, and artificial intelligence.

    • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and tools to enhance engineering productivity and product capabilities.

    • Actively promote and guide the hands-on use of AI-driven development tools like GitHub Copilot, Devin, and other emerging technologies to optimize coding, testing, and debugging processes

  • Champion an AI-First Culture:

    • key driver in our transition to an "AI-first" mindset.

    • Involves more than just using AI tools; it requires to fundamentally rethink problem-solving, architecting solutions where machine learning and intelligent systems are core components, not afterthoughts.

    • Expected to lead by example, identifying opportunities to apply AI to create step-change improvements in our products and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in a senior leader capacity

    • Extensive track record of leading engineering teams in a product-centric environment, with a history of successful product launches

    • Demonstrated expertise in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems using microservices architecture

    • Deep and extensive knowledge of modern software architecture principles and framework design

  • Technical Skills:

    • Mastery of one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python, C#).

    • Good understanding of cloud-native technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).

    • Proven experience with API design (REST, gRPC), data modeling, and various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).

    • Hands-on experience and proficiency in leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity etc.) in a professional engineering environment.

  • Leadership & Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate large teams.

    • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

    • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with C-level executives and cross-functional leaders.

    • A passion for innovation and a forward-thinking mindset.

  • Education:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
