The CIO team is comprised of approximately 100 employees, located across the world, and responsible for developing and communicating the macro and market views for Citi Wealth as well as asset allocation and investment recommendations, risk management, and portfolio construction for Citi Wealth clients.

The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a collaborative mindset, and a high degree of adaptability, thriving in the dynamic environment of a high-growth organization. They will be responsible for field and client engagement, acting as a key ambassador for the CIO's views. As a critical contributor to the CIO team, the Senior Portfolio Advisor will have responsibilities related to both investments recommendations and client engagement functions. This role requires a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced setting.

In this role, youre expected to:

  • Drive and deliver centralized messaging around CIO Team's strategy, views, and performance with the field and clients.

  • Collaborate with field leadership on business development opportunities and strategic planning on business targets.

  • Be a partnerto broader CIO Team (research, portfolio construction and analytics the Lab) on messaging, advisor and client needs, and product development opportunities

  • Participate in the investment process alongside the CIO Strategy team in forming views and underwriting investment recommendations for whole portfolios as well as thematic and tactical opportunities.

  • Partner with investment solutions teams to align views to product recommendations and and priorities

  • Identify and initiate cross-business opportunities with the various coverage teams and investment solutions.

  • Ensure 100% compliance on all Citi policies and regulatory requirements.

As a successful candidate, youd ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Bachelors Degree required / Masters Degree preferred

  • HKMA relevant license required

  • 12+ years of experience, preferably in developing and implementing Investment strategies across Asia

  • Deep knowledge of markets and multi-asset class portfolio construction

  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.

  • Collaborative and excited to partner across practices and businesses coupled with strong stakeholder mananagement skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese are required for this role. Cantonese Chinese is also beneficial

  • Communication experience across a variety of audiences and mediums

  • High attention to detail and quality on both internal teamwork and external partners
