Job Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the heart of this transformation, helping to build and maintain the platforms that empower thousands of developers to deliver securely, quickly, and with pride.

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain our industry-leading Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) capability, LightSpeed Enterprise, which is based on Tekton and Harness.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to eliminate manual toil and repetitive work through automation. Contribute to the evolution of release orchestration tools to improve process adherence and documentation quality.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure components using IaC-based services and blueprints, enabling developers to self-serve in a secure and compliant manner.
  • Collaboration & Support: Partner with application development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure a simplified, policy-compliant experience for developers. Promote an Inner Source culture by sharing ideas and enhancing existing solutions.
  • Risk & Control Management: Implement and manage controls within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure adherence to Citi's policies and standards. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to maintain the security of Citi's software supply chain.
  • System Reliability: Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to enhance the reliability, availability, and stability of our systems, moving from reactive problem resolution to a proactive and preventative approach.
  • Security Integration (DevSecOps): Embed security early in the development lifecycle (shift-left) by integrating security and quality tools into the pipeline to provide immediate feedback to developers on potential issues.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • 2-5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or related role.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g., Harness, Tekton, Jenkins).
  • Proficiency with source code management platforms, specifically GitHub.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and running/testing containers on Linux and Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS) and cloud-hosted SaaS services.
  • Understanding of security best practices in a CI/CD context (DevSecOps).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and addressing the root cause of issues.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and functions.
