Job Overview

The Global Deposit & Investments (D&I) product group is responsible for product strategy, development and commercialization for On Balance Sheet Deposit/Overdraft and Off Balance Sheet short term investment solutions. Currently the group manages solutions including Interest Bearing and Non-Interest Demand Deposit Accounts, Global Pricing Engine, Client Money Accounts, DACA/Pledge Accounts, Fixed and Extended Term Deposits, Earnings Credit Rate Accounts, Citi Interest Optimization and Online Investments Money Market Funds across 90+ markets where TTS operates.


The Investments Product Manager/Desk Transactor (SVP) will be responsible for administering the day-to-day Desk strategy and deal flow of the existing product portfolio (including Time Deposits, Minimum Maturity Time Deposits, Money Market Funds).  In particular, the Product Manager/Desk Transactor (SVP) will evaluate deposit opportunities and make pricing decisions to maximize client returns and revenue for the business.  Deal management and execution will also be performed by working directly with our growing client set for both on- and off-balance sheet solutions while considering NIM/RLAP objectives through various interest rate environments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary contact for products managed through the D&I NY Desk and help align related information/resources with Sales/Relationship teams to capture new deposit opportunities
  • Publish regional product pricing and supply rates quotes on a deal-by-deal basis
  • Participate in client discussions and execute client transactions across Corporate, FI, and Public Sectors
  • Assist in refining and creating new presentation material utilized in client conversations
  • Manage the TTS Collateralized Deposit Portfolio. Analyzing balance levels across the portfolio, ensuring market value of securities (municipal bonds, T-bills, L/Cs) are sufficient to meet client level margin requirements, purchasing/acquiring securities and L/Cs as needed to cover shortfalls, and streamlining portfolio analysis
  • Analyze customer profitability and help lead deposit growth in target sectors based on regional funding initiatives
  • Support Desk pricing reviews to ensure high RLAP (Resolution Liquidity Adequacy Positioning) value, balance stability, and net interest margin (NIM) are in alignment with expectations 
  • Complement product onboarding by assisting with product inquiries and implementing straightforward solutions
  • Build a network across Relationship Coverage, Product Management, Implementation, Client Service and Operations teams

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Degree or extensive experience in Business Administration, Finance, specialized analytics, and/or related discipline
  • Knowledge of liquidity products, short-term rates, and investment markets
  • Demonstrate interest in treasury, liquidity management, or investments (e.g., pursuit of CFA designation, CTP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with collateralized deposits a plus
  • Demonstrate product management expertise
  • Experience applying client mindset to shape solutions, identifying marketplace potential, and meeting financial goals
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, lead, partner, and negotiate with cross functional teams to deliver client needs
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Masters degree preferred
