Job Overview

The Client Executive Team Leader is a senior manager responsible for managing a team to deliver exceptional client service, resolve complex operational issues, and support seamless execution of investment strategies. The role partners across Institutional Banking to understand client needs, deliver strategic solutions, and drive crossselling opportunities. This leader ensures strong governance and control by working closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Finance, while promoting a culture of responsible finance, ethical conduct, and effective supervision. The position requires sound risk-based decision making, adherence to all policies and licensing requirements, and transparent management of control issues to safeguard Citis reputation, clients, and assets. They will be managing a team of CE's with Client Portfolio's

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver client satisfaction and financial results through the management of service and operational issues

  • Coordinate internal resources, own regional service issues escalations, resolve recurring/complex service issues, and complete regional incident reports

  • Understand clients business needs and work with internal partners to deliver solutions, adding value for our clients and cross-selling Citi products

  • Maintain client priorities, complete impact analysis, and implement change rollout for regional market/ platform changes

  • Drive culture change for Client Executives and Account Managers to become a single point of ownership

  • Lead strong governance and controls

  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure

  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline, and ethics

  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firms reputation

  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citis Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you

  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a global financial institution

  • Experience leading client service as an account manager or manager of service team

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, hire and/or develop diverse talent on regional basis

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver to a high standard

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • CPA 20 required

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Spanish, English and Portuguese required.
