Job Overview

The Mid-Corp Industrials Relationship Associate is a strategic member of the relationship coverage team. This role involves close collaboration with bankers and internal partners, serving as a key point of contact for delivering exceptional banking experiences to our Mid-Corp Industrials clients. The Relationship Associate will also be responsible for global liaison with local coverage and product partners to support initiatives that drive growth and revenue generation. 


Responsibilities:

  • Builds relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact navigate Citis extensive network and coordinate local coverage, controls and product support, problem escalation and resolution, driving client satisfaction

  • Work closely with Bankers, Product Partners and Know Your Client (KYC) Operations team to ensure the clients Citi KYC profile and due diligence are maintained in line with current client profile and regulatory requirements for both new client on-boarding and renewals processes.

  • Be the interface between the CE/KYC Analyst to ensure timely completion of renewal progress and support the completion of KYC records.

  • Helps clients to access Citis global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe

  • Coordinates credit requests and approvals from Citis global network

  • Engages with product partners and Citis global network to identify revenue opportunities and to position certain products with clients

  • Ensures periodic support discussions are held with clients and are correctly documented

  • Maintains correct client Legal, Credit and Marketing hierarchies in Account Master Central (AMC) and Salesforce.

  • Support transaction closings, ensuring facility allocation and booking of commitments

  • Support the negotiation of credit documentation requirements (e.g. Support, Credit, Cash management, Trade Services, FX, etc.)

  • Assists in implementation of cash transactions for Banker

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Recommended Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience

  • Sound Knowledge of Citis core products range (Loan Syndication, FX, Cash and Trade, etc.)

  • Experience with KYC/AML and regulatory compliance.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Support, Credit & Legal documentation requirements (e.g. Letters of Comfort, Parent Guarantees, LCs and their agreements, ISDA, Short Term Loan agreement, Cards Agreements, etc.)

  • Ability to be client focused and results oriented

  • Consistently demonstrate follow-up and organizational skills

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Consistently demonstrate a professional attitude

  • Team Player Being able to work in partnership with other individuals on day-to-day and long-term projects.


Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
