Join the dynamic Equities Execution Platform team, where innovation meets stability in the fast-paced world of electronic trading. Our mission is to build and maintain a cutting-edge, resilient platform that empowers both our internal trading desks and external clients. We are committed to adhering to stringent internal policies and evolving external regulatory requirements, ensuring a robust and compliant trading environment. As a Product Developer, you will report to the Equities Execution Platform team, contributing to our core mandate with a blend of strong technical acumen and a proactive, product-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Developer, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our Equities Execution Platform:

  • Support all aspects of execution platform management for Equity Electronic Trading Products, ensuring seamless and efficient operation.
  • Maintain a strong policy, risk management, and governance compliance structure within the Electronic Trading products, safeguarding our operations.
  • Establish clear and specific project plans, business and technical requirements documents for product execution.
  • Drive project management and tracking of new business initiatives, overseeing the release of new platform enhancements designed to grow revenue.
  • Facilitate coordination of material change requests and engagement with Risk & Compliance partners to address feedback and secure approvals prior to release.
  • Work closely with Traders, Quants, Technology, and other key partners to efficiently build and maintain a target-state E-Trading control framework. This includes developing advanced system alerts and re-engineering processes to deliver best-in-class solutions, ensuring consistent application across all regions and countries.
  • Creates a platform vision aligned to business priorities and corresponding road-map to delivery.
  • Follows market, industry and client trends to own field and adapts them for application Citis products and solutions platforms.
  • Continuously innovate within the Execution Platform, developing and tailoring electronic trading services to adapt to changing market structure dynamics and evolving client demands.
  • Focuses on controls and governance, including performing need-to-know based security and access reviews, approvals, controls testing and documentation.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Required Skills

We are looking for a candidate who brings a strong combination of experience, expertise, and interpersonal abilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in electronic trading platform or business management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of platform architecture and market microstructure for Cash Equities.
  • Proven experience successfully driving day-to-day execution and strategic projects across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinker.
  • Proactively seeks and develops new opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain senior client relationships and to work across multiple facets of Citi businesses.
  • Process Management knowledge with a propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content.
  • Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with senior members of an organization.
  • Proven track record of bringing diverse groups and perspectives to work against a common goal
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical internal partners.
  • A strong understanding of global regulatory and compliance requirements related to electronic trading and cash equities.

Education:

Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, Masters degree preferred
