Company Description

We’re Checkout.com – you might not know our name, but companies like eBay, ASOS, Klarna, Uber Eats, and Sony do. That moment when you check out online? We make it happen.

Checkout.com is where the world checks out. Our global network powers billions of transactions every year, making money move without making a fuss. We spent years perfecting a service most people will never notice. Because when digital payments just work, businesses grow, customers stay, and no one stops to think about why.

With 19 offices spanning six continents, we feel at home everywhere – but London is our HQ. Wherever our people work their magic, they’re fast-moving, performance-obsessed, and driven by being better every day. Ideal. Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.

Job Description

We are looking for highly organized Third-Party Risk Associates with 3+ years of experience in a project management or compliance environment to join our Global Third-Party Risk Management team in Mauritius. The TPRM Associate is responsible for the timely execution of PMO activities within the assessment programme, ensuring data integrity and timely escalation to maintain the operational cadence of the global TPRM process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day tracking of the end-to-end assessment lifecycle, focusing on data accuracy and timely completion of each stage of the process.

  • Proactively identify and immediately escalate risks, issues, and process bottlenecks to the Team Lead/Manager to prevent delays in the assessment pipeline.

  • Accurately track performance against internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), reporting any instances of non-compliance for root-cause analysis.

  • Maintain an accurate record of all open remediation actions and follow up with owners to ensure timely progress toward closure.

  • Prepare high-quality data inputs for status reports, key metrics, and programme dashboards, supporting the Senior Associate in developing executive reporting packs.

  • Act as a reliable point of contact for routine coordination between the TPRM assessment team and internal global risk teams.

  • Utilise and maintain proficiency in the TPRM assessment platforms, GRC tools, and sanctions screening tools to ensure data integrity and compliance throughout the process.

  • Actively contribute to identifying simple process improvements and efficiencies within daily PMO workflows.

  • Maintain awareness of relevant global regulations (EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, FCA, etc.) and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of practical experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or other relevant fields, preferably within the financial services industry.

  • Experience supporting or contributing to Transformation or Change projects in a corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and collating data for project status reporting or risk/governance committees.

  • Hands-on experience working with TPRM, GRC, or project management software tools.

  • Foundational understanding of third-party risk management principles and frameworks.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with the flexibility to align working hours to the UK time zone to support global operations.
