Full Job Description

Company Description

We’re Checkout.com – you might not know our name, but companies like eBay, ASOS, Klarna, Uber Eats, and Sony do. That moment when you check out online? We make it happen.

Checkout.com is where the world checks out. Our global network powers billions of transactions every year, making money move without making a fuss. We spent years perfecting a service most people will never notice. Because when digital payments just work, businesses grow, customers stay, and no one stops to think about why.

With 19 offices spanning six continents, we feel at home everywhere – but London is our HQ. Wherever our people work their magic, they’re fast-moving, performance-obsessed, and driven by being better every day. Ideal. Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.

Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic Senior Engineer I to join the IT Engineering team with experience with a wide spectrum of technology but subject matter expert for Checkout’s fleet of Macs and accompanying platform.

As the expert for everything Jamf and Apple, you will be crafting a secure platform of managed devices whilst ensuring to deliver an outstanding end user experience.

You will be looked upon to help build a strategy and refine standards, whilst being able to actively identify areas of improvements, working on creative solutions and delivering them in a structured manner.

The ideal Candidate is self‐motivated and fuelled by a positive hands-on and can-do-attitude, willing to work in an uncompromising, high pace, low-politics environment.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Develop and drive standards and documentation for the continued management of the platform

  • Bring structure to a rapidly growing estate of devices spanning multiple regions by maintaining and enforcing standardised hardware and software configurations, utilising automation, scripting and client management platforms

  • Collaborate with IT engineering teams to build an integrated platform that is governed for compliance

  • Providing direction and mentorship to other members of the IT Engineering team for the support of devices

  • Engage and understand the needs of our end users to proactively contribute to creating the best end user experience

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent technical understanding of Jamf Pro / Cloud, Jamf Connect and Jamf Protect

  • Deep understanding of Apple in the enterprise (ABM, Enrollments, App purchasing)

  • Extensive experience with creating installation and packaging scripts using Jamf products

  • Experience in managing the continual review, testing and deployment of new releases, fixes and security updates for supported platforms and applications

  • Proficient in one or more modern scripting languages (for example: Python, Bash, Swift)

  • Demonstrable experience managing a fleet of 1000+ devices.

  • Strong understanding of security implications and identity & access management

  • Good understanding and experience working with connected technologies, such as Intune, Azure, Okta and Google Workspace

  • Ability to work independently, manage projects to develop and deploy solutions

Good to have:

  • Experience in deploying and/or migrating an MDM solution

  • Knowledge of remote support technologies

  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non-technical manner

  • Work with multiple stakeholders from within the organisation on projects and tasks

  • Experience working in a regulated industry

Bring all of you to work

We create the conditions for high performers to thrive – through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.

Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity – and where your growth is in your hands.

We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.

It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable.
