Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services using RestAssured.
- Write and execute robust automated test scripts for RESTful APIs, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Collaborate with development teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Perform code reviews for test automation scripts and provide mentorship to junior QA engineers.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in test automation, including maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong proficiency in Java and RestAssured for API automation.
- Hands-on experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API documentation tools.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
