Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Linux/Unix Systems Engineer with strong experience in automation and virtualization technologies. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in managing enterprise environments, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring platform stability through automation and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement by automating deployments, configuration updates, and reducing manual effort
  • Execute application/platform changes, releases, and service requests across supported environments
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement service improvement solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve major incidents and develop corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management, with proper documentation

Mandatory Skills and Certifications

  • Proven experience provisioning and managing UNIX/Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Solaris, Oracle Linux)
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM
  • Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code and system lifecycle management
  • Relevant Linux or virtualization certifications are highly desirable
  • Strong experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems in enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of OS hardening techniques and security tools
  • Experience supporting application servers such as WebLogic and JBoss
  • Ability to install, patch, configure, troubleshoot, and tune systems effectively
  • Familiarity with disk management tools (Solaris/Linux) and CIS Benchmark standards
