Senior Functional Safety Engineer

Your Role:

  • Contribute to Item Definition, HARA, Safety Goals, Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and Technical Safety Concept (TSC) development.
  • Define and derive Functional and Technical Safety Requirements (FSR/TSR).
  • Support System, Hardware, and Software teams in safety requirements elicitation and alignment with ISO 26262.
  • Perform system-level safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, DFA, CCA, cascading failures, FFI).
  • Design and specify system safety mechanisms, including redundancy, monitoring, diagnostics, plausibility checks, degraded modes, fault reactions, safe states, and communication protection.
  • Define safety verification strategies for FSC, TSC, and system architecture work products.
  • Provide guidelines and best practices for safety concept and system architectural design in accordance with ISO 26262 Parts 3 and 4.
  • Conduct formal reviews and inspections of safety concepts and system architecture deliverables.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Functional Safety within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, particularly Electrical/Electronic (E/E) architectures and technologies.
  • Proven expertise in ISO 26262, especially Part 3 (Concept Phase) and Part 4 (System Level Development).
  • Demonstrated experience with system safety engineering activities (HARA, FSC, TSC, Safety Goals).
  • Solid understanding of ASPICE lifecycle processes.
  • Strong capability in system architectural design using UML and/or SysML.
  • Hands-on experience with safety analysis methodologies (FTA, FMEA, DFA, CCA, FFI).
