YOUR ROLE

As a Database Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions based on PostgreSQL and Oracle technologies. You build robust database features, implement performance improvements, and ensure efficient data processing across complex systems.You lead data migration initiatives, particularly from Oracle to PostgreSQL, ensuring minimal downtime and full data integrity. Your work includes query optimization, index management, and schema refinement to enhance performance and scalability.You maintain database health through backup, recovery, and maintenance strategies, while troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring system reliability. You also contribute to code quality, reviewing and optimizing SQL and procedural code, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to improve data-driven systems.

YOUR PROFILE

• Database Engineer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Oracle, and advanced skills in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experienced in database design, performance tuning, and large-scale data migration, with a focus on building scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Proven ability to optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design, ensuring high levels of data integrity and system reliability.
• Hands-on experience managing database lifecycle operations, including backup, recovery, and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and improve system performance.
• A collaborative professional who works effectively across teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.
