YOUR ROLE
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating robust, scalable, and secure data platforms in AWS cloud environments. You will work closely with Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams, ensuring highquality data is readily available for reporting, experimentation, and advanced analytics use cases.
You will take ownership of the endtoend data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to delivery and optimization, applying engineering best practices to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Spark
- Build and maintain cloudnative data solutions leveraging AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, S3, and Lambda
- Orchestrate and monitor data workflows using AWS Step Functions, Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
- Ensure data platforms meet high standards of reliability, performance, scalability, and observability
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and InfrastructureasCode (IaC) practices
- Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Apply and enforce data security best practices, including IAM policies, access control, and encryption
- Continuously improve data architecture, tooling, and processes following industry best practices
YOUR PROFILE
- You are a handson, technically strong Data Engineer with proven experience working in AWS cloudbased data platforms. You are comfortable operating at scale, enjoy solving complex data problems, and take ownership of the systems you build.
- You are proactive, detailoriented, and motivated to deliver highquality data solutions that create real business impact.
- Solid experience as a Data Engineer working in AWS environments
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for data processing and transformations
- Handson experience with AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, S3, and Lambda
- Experience with data orchestration tools such as Step Functions, Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of data security, IAM, and encryption best practices
- A problemsolving mindset, strong ownership mentality, and excellent attention to detail
- Nice to have:
- GenAI expertise
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI/ML data pipelines in AWS.
- Knowledge of serverless data engineering with Lambda and API Gateway.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, OpenSearch).
