About the Job you are considering
We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Business Design Analyst to drive initiatives within the Core Acquiring domain This role is pivotal in bridging business objectives with technology solutions ensuring that acquiring platforms payment processing systems and related services meet operational regulatory and customer requirements The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of card acquiring processes strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables

Hybrid working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements for acquiring systems.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure all requirements are aligned with industry standards, security principles, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS).

Solution Design Support

  • Work closely with product owners, architects, and development teams to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
  • Participate in and support design workshops, offering clarity on acquiring workflows, settlement processes, and transaction lifecycles.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure consistent alignment and communication.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and signoff sessions to ensure stakeholder buyin and understanding.

Testing & Validation

  • Define acceptance criteria and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements to the acquiring platform.
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet business objectives, comply with regulations, and function as expected.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and data mappings.
  • Provide stakeholders with regular updates on project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within payments, card acquiring, or merchant services domains.
  • Strong understanding of card acquiring processes, including transaction authorization flows, clearing, settlement, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 8583 messaging standards, payment gateways, and common system integration patterns.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and their application in financial technology projects.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and process modeling software (e.g., Visio, BPMN tools).
  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance standards within financial services, including risk, security, and audit considerations.
