Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on QA Engineering Manager to lead the transformation of Quality Engineering by advancing test automation and introducing AI/LLM-driven (agentic) testing capabilities.

This role will focus on assessing and modernizing an existing QA function, increasing automation maturity, and establishing a more engineering-driven testing model. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in automation, scripting, and QA leadership, along with exposure to emerging AI-driven testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

QA Transformation & Automation

  • Evaluate current QA processes and identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and coverage
  • Lead the transition from manual testing to an automation-first approach
  • Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks across web, mobile, and API applications

AI-Driven Testing / Agentic Capabilities

  • Introduce and evolve AI-assisted/LLM-based testing approaches (test generation, optimization, self-healing test scripts)
  • Translate business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into automated test assets
  • Establish best practices for integrating AI into QA within enterprise constraints

Engineering & Delivery

  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure alignment between QA strategy and product delivery, user journeys, and business outcomes
  • Contribute hands-on to test automation development and scripting

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor QA engineers, driving a more engineering-focused culture
  • Balance hands-on technical contributions with team leadership responsibilities
  • Improve team effectiveness and delivery through better tooling, processes, and standards

Governance & Risk

  • Ensure QA practices align with enterprise risk, controls, and audit requirements
  • Implement validation checkpoints and maintain high standards for test quality and reliability

Required Qualifications:

  • 710+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / QA Automation
  • Experience leading QA teams within large-scale Agile environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
  • Proficiency in test scripting and development (Java, Python, or similar)
  • Experience with web, mobile, and API testing
  • Exposure to AI/LLM-based testing or automation enhancements
  • Experience integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, defect management, and testing strategies
  • Ability to operate effectively in structured, regulated environments (financial services experience preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agentic AI concepts (multi-agent systems, self-healing automation, human-in-the-loop validation)
  • Background in improving or scaling QA functions from low to high automation maturity
  • Familiarity with modern AI-enabled QA tools and frameworks

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

  • Assess and baseline current QA and automation maturity
  • Increase automation coverage and reduce manual testing dependency
  • Begin implementing AI-assisted testing capabilities
  • Establish a more consistent, scalable QA engineering approach

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $160,000 - $200,000/ yearly.

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
