Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Operations Lead to optimize and run end-to-end Retail Convenience supply chain activities for BP Australia. This role focuses on driving efficiency, value creation, and best-practices across our operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to improve operational performance.
  • Manage the supply chain costs against budget while ensure key supply chain activities run efficiently
  • Safety leadership: familiar with key safety risks and barriers in warehousing and transport industry, ability to manage risk in preventative manner and respond to safety incidents appropriately
  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Lead and execute sophisticated negotiations with suppliers and partners, securing favorable terms and encouraging positive relationships.
  • Lead and optimize inventory levels, ensuring product availability while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Apply project management methodologies to supply chain improvement projects, ensuring successful execution and desired outcomes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, developing robust contingency plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive value creation and optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Provide critical thinking and mentorship to optimize the overall supply chain network.

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, inventory management, and logistics management.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Strong business acumen and commercial acumen.
  • Proven negotiation skills, including negotiation planning and preparation.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in risk management within a supply chain context.
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking to sophisticated supply chain challenges.
  • Solid understanding of supplier relationship management principles.
  • Awareness and application of sustainability principles within the supply chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive value creation and management.
