Operational Pricing Analyst

Job Description

The Operational Pricing Analyst plays a key role in supporting the daily, weekly, and long-term planning and execution of product pricing across bps diverse customer base. Pricing is delivered through multiple channels, including distributors, retailers, installers, direct buyers, service providers, and both national and international partners.

This role covers a broad portfolio of products across automotive, commercial, marine, and industrial lubricants.

The Analyst is responsible for conceptualizing, organizing, and implementing pricing strategies within financial and CRM systems, ensuring full compliance with bps financial governance standards. This includes supporting both internal and external stakeholders across functions such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support.

The position requires close interaction with pricing elements such as price lists, customer segments, brand and product hierarchies, discounts, promotions, and surcharges, ensuring all updates align with bps pricing frameworks and financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing System Management & Execution

  • Manage pricing system changes, including product setup, price updates, and system maintenance.
  • Execute pricing changes in an accurate and timely manner across enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoot billing inquiries and resolve pricing-related system issues.
  • Ensure adherence to bps pricing governance and financial controls.

Pricing Architecture & Data Management

  • Maintain and manage customer and product pricing structures within enterprise systems.
  • Oversee price lists, discount matrices, rebate structures, and product hierarchies.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment across CRM and financial reporting systems.
  • Monitor and maintain system relationships to avoid conflicts between pricing, CRM, and reporting tools(SAP).

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze pricing, discount, rebate, and margin data to support business decisions.
  • Utilize commodity price index data to inform and validate pricing strategies.
  • Ensure accurate tagging and data integrity within JDE for reporting purposes (SPA responsibility).
  • Generate insights through pricing data and MOP trackers to drive business value.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Develop and enhance price change templates and automation tools to improve efficiency.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify operations and streamline workflows.
  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to pricing processes.
  • Document pricing procedures and system processes to ensure effective knowledge transfer and continuity (MoC).

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Pricing, Finance, Performance Management, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and Operations.
  • Translate business strategies into system-based pricing instructions and execute accordingly.
  • Identify system constraints or conflicts and communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support stakeholders in navigating pricing system changes and improvements.

Languages

  • Professional level of English (written and spoken) is required

Work Location & Shift Pattern

  • Location: Santa Fe, Mexico City
  • Schedule: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
  • Work Model: Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days onsite)
