About the role
The role of Credit Control Analyst is pivotal in ensuring bp financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Credit Control Analyst will be responsible for managing accounts receivables, which translates to overseeing the timely collection of outstanding payments from customers and ensuring that bps records are up-to-date and accurate. Credit Control Analyst will need to ensure that all payments are accurately processed and applied to the appropriate customer accounts. Any discrepancies must be promptly identified and resolved to maintain the integrity of bp financial data. Another critical aspect of this role is payment accuracy. The analyst will need to ensure that all invoices and respective payments are timely reconciled. The analyst must diligently analyse payments and customer behavior to minimize fraud and possible credit losses for bp.
In this role You will
- Effective control of customers trade receivables consistent with bps credit standards & policies
- Supervise credit and fraud violations and inform / involve all relevant partners within their DOA
- Promptly manage customer accounts with Direct Debit payment methods in accordance with bps credit standard & policies
- Process customer AR reconciliations & coordinate cash applications (e.g.:Price recons, FX payments, etc)
- Adhere to the Teams regular KPIs (such as working conditions and performance standards)
- Deal timely with customer disputes / issues in order to secure payments and follow the partner concern path
- Maintain and develop working relationship with Cross-functions (incl: Sales, Customer Service team etc)
- Be able to identify key, strategic or high risk business customer issues and take actions together with the relevant partners
- Apply all communication channels to resolve issues and perform daily tasks (e.g.: call, emails etc.)
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts; initiate and raise quick wins where these are relevant
- Manage irregular customer payment behavior via standard controlling means (e.g.: Blocked orders, Prepayment, Delivery/sales restrictions, Blocked Cards)
- Compliance with all relevant Credit Management and QMS/EMS related policies
- Reoccurring Credit Control reporting preparation or contribution in data consolidation
What You will need to be successful
- Relevant & acknowledged qualification with focus topics related to: Economics, Accounting, Business management etc.
- Previous credit control experience or related field enabling sufficient transferable skills
- Basic knowledge or experience with ERP & CRM systems, as well as variable company portals
- Basics of accounting and business finance is an advantage
- Able to consistently produce high quality information within tight deadlines
- Able to deal with sophisticated situations while maintaining the right balance of customer and business focus
- Relative negotiation skills, while maintaining adherence to company standards & policy
- Operational flexibility & ability to embrace the changing business environment.
- Able to work in a professionally diverse environment and align with bps code of conduct to achieve excellence while maintaining a strong care for others attitude and practice.
- Ensuring bp internal control remains effective through compliance with internal requirements via the application of controls and due diligence processes across all business activities
- The ability to create innovative solutions to business challenges
- Understanding main credit control elements which need to be in place and how its application can lead to the provision of the required level of financial assurance.
- The ability to work in ways that achieve and support outstanding performance.
