About the role
The Country Sales Manager role is responsible for leading indirect sales activities across selected Middle East markets (Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Kuwait) through distributor and channel partner management.
The position focuses on delivering planned commercial performance, strengthening distributor capabilities, and ensuring consistent execution of agreed business plans. The role operates as the primary commercial interface between the company and its distributor network, with accountability for results, governance and longterm value creation across multiple countries.
What you will deliver
- Implement the country indirect sales strategy by converting regional priorities into structured, measurable business plans
- Deliver agreed sales and financial targets, including volume, gross margin, overdue and trade KPIs
- Lead and support distributor sales teams to ensure consistent execution of agreed offers and programs
- Provide ongoing commercial leadership to distributor sales organizations, including target alignment, performance followup and execution support
- Be responsible for the annual business planning and performance cycle with distributors, covering:
- Sales forecasting, reporting and corrective action planning
- Sales capability development
- Customer coverage, offer deployment and service levels
- Financial rigor, return on investment and cash flow performance
- Brand standards, HSSE and ethical compliance
- Conduct regular distributor performance reviews and implement improvement actions where required
- Actively manage the distributor portfolio, including performance optimization and partner changes when necessary
- Capture and share market insights, customer feedback and competitive intelligence
- Ensure thirdparty and distributor activities align with company policies, local regulations and governance requirements
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelors degree; MBA or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is a strong plus
- Extensive sales experience, including sales management or distributor sales handling responsibilities
- Proven experience in sales, distributor management or B2B commercial roles
- Demonstrated regional experience managing multicountry accounts, distributors or commercial operations
- Experience in FMCG and/or lubricants sectors is an advantage
- Strong planning and performance management (PLN) experience is required
- Demonstrated track record of delivering sales and financial results
- Experience engaging with senior distributor stakeholders and managing commercial negotiations
- Strong business planning, analytical and commercial judgement skills
- Comfortable operating in dynamic, multicountry environments
- Willingness to travel across the region up to 50%
